Coffee
Bloomsbury Blends is home to a full espresso bar with options for everyone. We serve 100% organic espresso and offer milk, organic soy, almond, coconut, and oat milk.
Our espresso machine takes us back to the beginning of espresso technology at its best. In 1945 the modern piston head was engineered in Italy putting out 140 psi (high pressure) at 245 degrees of stable heat. With this invention, the traditional cowboy coffee method (boiling coarse coffee) was replaced with the art of extracting the full flavor of fine ground coffee with exact measured water at the correct stable heat and pressure.
The terminology for a barista is to pull a shot. At Bloomsbury Blends, we are doing exactly that, manually pulling the shot to create the best and most flavorful coffee experience we can offer the customer. (Imported Italian machined components- Prego)
In addition to our coffee bar, we have teas, sodas and other drinks for the non-coffee drinkers.

It has been a great honor to host local musicians in our intimate garden for Wine & Music Nights. If you're not yet aware of the vast talent the Ashland music scene offers, maybe it's time you found out! These generous souls bring their all to our stage, and with styles of music that vary from week to week, the talent of our city never disappoints. As friends come together for our music events, we often hear them use the word "MAGIC" when describing their experience. It makes sense. That's what happens when you combine passionate musicians, a community of friends, great food, local wines, and an amazing patio setting under twinkling lights - MAGIC!

The Patio Garden
Ashland's hidden treasure came to be as a labor of love and community spirit. We're talking about the secret garden that a myriad of local friends of the coffee house built and planted together right outside. The remarkable story of this serene patio and it's origins is truly special, and when you sit here, you can feel the love that went into it. It is truly breathtaking!
The plants are all from local nurseries and there is always something in bloom. We are especially proud to be an Ashland Parks and Recreation approved Pollinator Garden.

Ashland is a town full of artists AND those inspired by creativity. We love that! It's our privilege to support the art community by featuring a new artist every month. Our walls are a gallery curated by the artists themselves and there is always something new to see. You can meet the featured artists monthly during the famous FIRST FRIDAY ART WALKS, a downtown Ashland tradition every first Friday of the month (rain or shine). We often have live music during these events, so you can plan on lingering with friends to enjoy a wonderful evening together.

The Books
Who doesn't love a great book, let alone an entire bookstore? You will find our cafe nestled upstairs in the Iconic Bloomsbury Bookstore, established in 1980. It's an Ashland treasure, to be sure! They specialize in contemporary fiction, children’s books, young adult, local authors, and have a large Shakespeare and theater section.
After you purchase a favorite book of stories, head up to the cafe and lose yourself (or find yourself) in your book while enjoying a scrumptious cup of coffee or a glass of wine.
